Achievements

These are some of the many achievements that Bob Iger accomplished while he was CEO and Chairman of The Walt Disney Company. These include buying Lucasfilm LTD, buying Marvel Entertainment, buying Pixar Animation Studios, buying 21st Century Fox, launching Disney+, and building and expanding Disney Theme Parks.

Pixar Animation Studios

Bob Iger and Disney bought Pixar Animation in 2006 for $7.4 Billion. Since the purchase of this studio company, there have been so many new movies come out from Disney Pixar and there are been a lot of sequels as well such as the sequel to the Cars movie franchise and Toy Story. Bob Iger plans to leverage these franchises in the future.

Marvel Entertainment

Disney and Bob Iger bought out Marvel Entertainment, and their subsidiary, Marvel Studios in 2009 for $4 billion. When Disney bought Marvel, they had a single Iron Man movie that had blown up. Since then there has been 30 more movies and 8 TV series including one of the movies being the highest grossing worldwide movie which is Avengers: Endgame. Marvel and Disney have no plans of slowing down as they move into their 5th major phase of projects.

Disney Parks Across the Globe

Bob Iger took a failing Disney Park, California Adventure and turned into a place to expand. Under Iger's leadership, California Adventure has gained some of the most popular rides that Disney parks has like Toy Story Mania and the addition of Cars Land and Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. He also got a Disney Park in Shanghi and is working on Avengers Campus which is a new section being added to theme parks across the globe.
